Personal walk tracking will open after hiking-specific milestones, stories and safety context are authored.

Once tracking is available, full-route completion is planned to use the title Appalachian Trail Virtual Completion, recording the participant, distance, completion date, earned milestones and any staged prerequisites. Sections receive a section accomplishment. This recognizes virtual activity and is not an official trail-organization credential.
